ABOUT US…
The Lost Corner was established in 2015 by Louisa and Charlie White-Thomson over lunch in a small bistro in South West London. They still have the napkin which was used to layout the initial plan. We are all a product of our experiences and interests, and The Lost Corner is no difference and is a melting pot of both of theirs. To the fore, comes Louisa’s creativity and love of beautiful things. Inspiration came early from a creative household and a school that encouraged pottery and sewing. This was followed by 4 years at Pepperdine University in Malibu, where she immersed herself in theatre set construction and painting scenery, designing props and making costumes. Overlay this with a five year degree in Transpersonal Psychotherapy followed by providing one on one counselling at the The Kingston’s Women Centre and The Caravan for homeless people at St James Church. Charlie brings a military and financial background. Early on he served with the Grenadier Guards which included Operation Granby. He especially enjoyed the esprit de corps and the time in the desert. This was followed by 20 years in the financial markets with Barings, DLJ and Credit Suisse. This included a fascinating period living in Moscow. He has fond memories of the excursions to the regions including Siberia. In general, he likes entrepreneurial opportunities and has recently taken on the role of Chief Executive Officer for Saxo in the United Kingdom.
